Description

A light golden yellow in the glass, the first aromas come to us as soon as we swirl the glass. Yellow pear combines with apple, plus various spices, especially clove and anise. Overall, despite its expressiveness, the nose appears fresh and clear, with hints of lemon zest and a minerality almost reminiscent of stone dust certainly contributing to this. On the palate the wine is powerful, initially filling the palate, then the acidity turns on and continues through to the finish. Here too we have pome fruit aromas, although we tend to end up with freshly peeled apple and quince, followed by lemon in the finish, a little bit of salt, with subtle spiciness in between. Overall, the wine is a finely balanced work of art – no wonder, considering the winemakers behind it!
